Registered Nurse (RN) - Department Tiered Incentive Program- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

This enhanced compensation program is a full-time position on select Inpatient Units. Department Based Tier One Program members receive the Dept. Tier One Premium of $10.00/hour for all paid hours, including PTO. They are also eligible for shift differential and holiday premium pay as per Medical Center policy. This program offers enhanced compensation with specific expectations: * Work commitment 72 hours per pay period * Minimum of 48 hours on night shift per pay period * Remaining hours scheduled to meet unit needs * Scheduled a maximum of every other weekend * Self-scheduling is not available * Fully benefitted position Join our prestigious team at one of the Southeast's premier pediatric referral centers for trauma, cardiac, and critical care. As a PICU Nurse, you'll provide exceptional care to children from newborns to 18 years old. Our commitment to excellence is seen in our tailored nurse-to-patient ratio based on illness severity. You'll handle critical care tasks such as vasoactive infusions, mechanical ventilation, and ECMO. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process. Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: 1 year of relevant experience. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
