Occupational Health Registered Nurse II


Classification Title: Occupational Health Registered Nurse II Job Description: The Occupational Health Registered Nurse II will play a vital role in administering UF's Occupational Health Program, focusing on clinical care, compliance, and operational support. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting Occupational Health Screenings: Manage documentation reviews, provide necessary immunizations and lab orders, interpret results, and maintain accurate records in institutional systems. * Supporting Patient Clearance Processes: Facilitate clearance for employees, volunteers, and students, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. * Promoting Health and Safety Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to UF Health's occupational health protocols, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations, and addressing any deficiencies with departments and individuals. * Providing Exposure Response: Notify employees of workplace exposures and direct them to appropriate resources for follow-up testing and treatment. Expected Salary: $58,000 - $61,000 - Commensurate with experience Minimum Requirements: Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program and one year of professional nursing experience. Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes. Current CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications: * Nursing experience, particularly in occupational or employee health. * Competence in using computer software, including Epic EMR, Pyramed Medical Record, or similar platforms, as well as MS Word and Excel. * Strong knowledge of vaccines, immunization schedules, and administration. * Skilled in performing tasks such as intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections, phlebotomy, and other general medical practices. * Familiarity with institutional and regulatory policies, including OSHA and HIPAA.
