UHealth has a rich history in medical education, with its roots dating back to the inception of the University of Miami School of Medicine — the first medical school in Florida — founded in 1952.

One UHealth travel nurse commends the organization for its patient and supply management, unit cleanliness and supportive colleagues. The nurse-to-patient ratio was described as manageable at 1:4, contributing to a positive working experience.
