The ENP-BC credential must be renewed every 5 years after meeting the following renewal requirements:
Hold a current, active APRN license
Hold current ENP-BC certification from ANCC
Complete 75 contact hours of continuing education (CE), with 25 CE hours in pharmacology
Complete at least 1 of 7 certification renewal categories, which include
CE Hours (in addition to mandatory hours)

Before starting the renewal process, applicants must enter proof of professional development in their ANCC online account.

American Nurses Association (ANA) members: $200
American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (AAENP) and Emergency Association (ENA) members: $280
Nonmembers: $350
All prices include a nonrefundable $140 administrative fee
ENP-BC holders whose certification has been expired for 2 years or less may reactivate their certification by completing the standard renewal requirements and paying an additional $125 reactivation fee. Because this credential is only available for renewal only, applicants whose certification has been expired for more than 2 years are no longer eligible to renew or reactivate the credential.
