Reporting to the VP of Perioperative and Procedural Services, the Business Director is responsible for providing back-office leadership and support for Perioperative and Procedural Services, managing processes related to financial &amp; strategic planning, and process improvement activities. This position will oversee all internal initiatives such as OR scheduling team management, block scheduling management, OR utilization, timely processing of OR patient billing. Compiles and administers the annual capital budget with the leadership team. Facilitates equipment and supply purchases, maintains service contracts, develops supply contracts and prepares the annual operational budget with the assistance of Surgical Services management. The position works in collaboration with each of the hospitals' Service Line Administrators, Nursing Director, Surgical Director/Chair of surgery &amp; Anesthesiology and Supply Chain, Sterile Processing, Patient Access, and Finance for operational related and strategic planning and process improvement. The Business Director will also serve as a key member of the Perioperative Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the oversight of process improvement initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations in collaboration with Nursing and Surgical Leadership and other key stakeholders in Anesthesia and Surgery Departments. #LI-IJ1
  
*Required Education/Experience:*
- MHA, MBA, or equivalent with financial emphasis.
- Eight (8) plus years' experience working in a large academic healthcare organization or system.
- Experience working within a Perioperative / OR environment.
- At least five (5) years' experience in analyzing, interpreting perioperative data to create, develop, and integrate information into presentations and visual systems for decision making.
- Three (3) years or more people leadership experience, including direct supervision of staff.
- Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial analysis and/or strategic planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in an environment of rapid change.
- Experience with statistical analysis.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 40-bed quaternary care referral center for four states: Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WAMI region). Patients cared for are infants up to young adults and have a wide range of clinical conditions. Examples of medical conditions include septic shock, acute and chronic respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and metabolic diseases. Our team also manages patients from a wide range of surgical and medical services to include Neurosurgery, Solid Organ Transplant, Craniofacial/Plastics, Hematology/Oncology, and Bone Marrow &amp; Stem Cell Transplant patients. Specialized care provided in the PICU includes cerebral and renal oximetry monitoring, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, use of inhaled nitric oxide, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and intracranial pressure monitoring. This also includes extracorporeal life support (ECMO), highly specialized cardiopulmonary support.

Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.
In this position you will work in at both the OBCC Othello and Central District location. This position is 5x8 hour shifts, Monday-Saturday, with one rotating day off per week.
Has responsibility, in collaboration with the health care team and family, for the coordination of care for specific patient populations from admission through discharge. This includes advocacy, accountability for the achievement of identified outcomes in a timely manner, promotion of collaborative practice, appropriate use of resources, facilitation of timely discharge, coordination of discharge planning, resource acquisition, and patient/family education. This is accomplished through initial and ongoing assessment, effective participation in the care planning process, and collaboration with the team and community providers. Supports staff/physician education related to the care coordination process.
  
*Required Education and Experience*
BSN or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience.
Ability to communicate in a second language may be required for specific departments.

*Required Credentials* 
Current Washington State Nursing License.
At time of hire:  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions.
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers.
As a condition of employment:  Current BLS for Health Care Providers is to be maintained at all times by all nurses.
Note: current PALS and/or PEARS will be accepted in lieu of BLS, and must be maintained as current at all times.
Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position. (ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.).
