Position Overview: (Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions): 
Provides service to adolescents and adults. Produces high quality images for Radiology and the assigned areas within the Operating room that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technology. Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. 
 
Experience within a sterile environment, aseptic technique, and scrub experience required. Minimum of one year IR experience required.

EDUCATION

Licensure/Certification Required: 
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T.(R) (ARRT) ARRT registration in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) within 18 months of start date Current Basic Life Support certification.

Seeking a candidate with experience in both Neuro and Vascular procedures. Experience in Neuro procedures include; Cerebral Angiograms and Interventions (strokes, aneurysm treatment, stentings), Spinal Venogram Embolizations, Myelograms, and Lumbar Punctures. Experience in Vascular procedures include; Angiograms, Venograms, Central lines, Nephrostomy, Biliary, and Leg Ablations.

ARRT certified in Magnetic Resonance (MR) (preferred), Radiography (R), Nuclear Medicine Technology (N), CNMT, or ARDMS or registry eligible with primary certification obtained before start date of employment.
